21st Century Rehab and Knoxville Hospital and Clinics are partnering together tomorrow evening to offer a free workshop on women’s health and urinary incontinence titled “Jump, Laugh, Sneeze… Do You Leak?” The workshop will allow for any women struggling with urinary tract incontinence to learn about what effective treatment would look like. Participants will learn about the types and causes of incontinence, what can be done to effectively treat incontinence as well as how physical therapy can provide natural healing. Physical Therapist Jessica Stickel with 21st Century Rehab tells KNIA/KRLS News living with urinary tract incontinence symptoms is not a life sentence. Stickel says it is a common misconception but people can work to get the symptoms to decrease and even completely disappear. The workshop will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. inside the Physical Therapy Department at the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. Space is limited so anyone interested in attending is asked to register prior to the event. For more information and to register contact the Knoxville Hospital and Clinics Physical Therapy Department.
