The big story of this past weekend at Central was the football team clinching the American Rivers Conference crown, but several other teams were in action Saturday.

The wrestling team went 4-0 at the Adrian Duals in Michigan, highlighted by a 21-20 win over #12-ranked Alma.

Both basketball teams were in action, as the men picked up their first win of the season, defeating Lincoln Christian 102-67 at the Bill Merris Tournament in Jacksonville, Illinois. The women hosted Knox, but fell 81-72 as they lost for the first time this season.

Men’s Cross Country finished eighth at the NCAA Division III Central Region Meet in Waverly.

The men’s soccer team’s season came to a close in the NCAA Tournament, falling to Wisconsin-Superior 3-2 in Decorah.

No events are scheduled for today. The next event is Wednesday as the women’s basketball team travels to Illinois College.
