The Simpson Storm men’s basketball team took down Cornell Tuesday night 84-74, to extend their winning streak to five games. Kyle Wagner dropped 20 points on 8-16 shooting to lead the Storm, who took a lead late in the first half and would not relinquish it despite Cornell making several runs. With the game tied at 38, Simpson went on a 14-7 run to close the half to take a 52-45 halftime advantage. In the second half Cornell cut the lead down to two at 62-60, but the Storm went on a 13-2 run late that sealed the victory. The win puts Simpson at 4-1 overall, and they will play in a tournament at Carroll this Friday and Saturday.
