A Norwalk man faces several charges for incidents dating back to early 2018 in Pella. James Nuzum, 35, is charged with ongoing criminal conduct, a class B felony, two counts of forgery, each a class D felony, and two counts each of unauthorized use of a credit card and theft in the 4th degree. According to court records, a victim reported her purse, with credit cards and identification inside, were stolen from a vehicle in Oskaloosa in January 2018. That individual noticed several fraudulent charges were made in Pella, and after a review of security footage and images and in partnership with other law enforcement agencies, James Nuzum was one of two suspects named in the case. The pair are accused of working together to make 16 accepted charges totalling more than $1,500, and both were originally arrested in Nebraska. After an initial arrest warrant brought Nuzum to Marion County last year, he was served a warrant this past weekend and taken into custody.
