Indianola and Warren County Hometown Pride are planning a beautification project in downtown Indianola, making use of the fence surrounding the square. Terry Pauling is one of the organizers of the project, and tells KNIA News the overall plan is currently in the preliminary planning stages, but an educational storytelling of Warren County through artwork or other forms would be put in the fence.
“What I suggested in front of the Warren County Board of Supervisors who gave their permission for me to go ahead with this project, was maybe we can tell the story of Warren County’s history. Put that on the fence in some fashion, people can enjoy that. It will change the looks of the fence, make it something that we can be proud of, and visitors can learn more about Warren County and its history.”
Pauling also said nothing is currently set in stone, but if anyone was interested in helping whether through the artwork, time, suggestions, or monetary donations, to contact him at Exit Realty North Star or Indianola or Warren County hometown pride.
