The Marion County Historical Society will present the annual Festival of Trees event today and tomorrow from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Marion County Historical Village in Knoxville. Over 40 decorated trees will be on display throughout the village allowing visitors to admire the different decorations while taking in a bit of Marion County history Visitors will be able to vote for their favorite tree by placing a donation in the container next to the tree of their choice. President of the Marion County Historical Society, Marla Suter tells KNIA/KRLS News people should come out to the event and enjoy the beautiful trees while taking part in a silent auction to possibly pick up a few christmas gifts. She says a bake sale will also be held so visitors will have the chance to pick up some home baked goods. Other activities held throughout the weekend include a scavenger hunt for children and live entertainment in the chapel.
