A regular occurrence for coaches and players sometime near the start of the season is to hold a team meeting and talk about what they want to accomplish and set goals. The Indianola boys basketball team however, is taking things a little differently this season.
“We actually had a meeting with the seniors where they wrote their goals down, and I ripped them up. We do not have any goals this year, we are focusing on our behavior. I feel like goals are something you can talk about, but I am focused much more on our actions. That’s why I’ve been really pleased in our practices, the behavior of our kids. They’ve been putting forth the effort we’ve wanted, they’ve been competing. And that’s what the bottom line is going to be, is that behavior going to transfer from practice to the games, and that is what our main focus is right now.”
The Indians get their season started on December 2nd at Fort Dodge.
