The Indianola girls basketball team starts their season off tonight against the Rams of Southeast Polk, marking one of their toughest tests of the season. The Indians return all but two of their main rotation from last season, and bring back three double digit scorers in Kendall Clatt, Lauren Blake, and Mara Bishop, and head coach Jeff Janssen tells KNIA Sports getting those three to take the next step in taking over games will be important for the teams success if they can become elite defenders and leaders. The game starts at 7:45pm, with two JV games preceding.

The Indianola boys swimming team also starts their season tonight on the road at DM Lincoln, and the boys basketball team has a scrimmage against Chariton.
