Bells will soon be ringing at the Pella Hy-Vee and Walmart for the annual Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign. Doug Polking with the group tells KRLS News they will kick off their campaign this Friday and continue through December 21st from 2 to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Polking says most of the funds raised in Marion County stay in the county to help those in need through the Salvation Army. The rest of the money goes to disaster relief efforts. He says the biggest need right now is for volunteers to ring the bells over the next several weeks. Hear more about the Red Kettle Campaign on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
