With the Thanksgiving Holiday here, Warren County Public Health wants to remind residents to keep in mind that being sick affects more people than just you. Warren County Public Health Administrator Jodene DeVault tells KNIA News to be extra careful around all the extra family members and friends you may be around today and through the holiday season.

“Most of us want to attend the holiday family functions. So if you are going to be around young babies or very old adults who have a weaker immune system, what you might be able to tolerate and what I might be able to tolerate might really make them ill.”

DeVault also said the flu can be deadly to those with compromised immune systems, such as the elderly or infants, so be as careful as possible.
