The Indianola Noon Lions Club hosted the annual Children’s Store on Saturday morning, allowing children to pick out a gift for a parent, grandparent, relative or family friend to give away on Christmas for free. Lions Club President Roger Foelske tells KNIA News the tradition started years ago, and serves as a reminder to kids that they can put thought into gifts, and that Christmas is just as much about giving as it is receiving. Indianola FFA, members of the girls basketball team, and other volunteers also helped at the event. The Children’s Store will also be held this Friday before the Indianola Light Up the Square event, from 6-8pm at the same location inside the KNIA Studio on the downtown Indianola square.
