After 4 games the Pleasantville Trojans Girls basketball team remains undefeated. Last week, they opened up the season with back-to-back wins against Saydel, and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont. After the Thanksgiving break they were back in action, and kept the momentum rolling with two more wins against Twin Cedars and Melcher-Dallas.
Through the first four games, the team has been lead in points by Senior Josie Hutchings, who’s averaging 10 points, followed by sophomores, Malorie McKinney, averaging 9.25 points a game, and Adi Adreon with 8.25 points per game.
Head Coach Jeff Cook says they are trying strategic changes to start off the season.
“We’re just asking them to do a few things different to how they’ve done them in the past, we’ve kind of changed our defensive philosophy a little bit, instead of being close to ball, were a little more open away from the ball.”
The Trojans will be back on the court Monday, December 9th, at 6pm against Panorama, with tip-off at 6pm at the Pleasantville High School Gymnasium.
