A Knoxville woman received probation Thursday for her role in a child endangerment case. Jennifer Wooldridge, 43, of Knoxville was sentenced to a five-year suspended sentence and will be placed on probation for three years. Wooldridge is also required to pay a $1,000 fine and must abide by a no-contact order that was extended for five years. Wooldridge’s husband Rocky Wooldridge was sentenced to 30 years in prison on November 23rd following a plea agreement that allowed Jennifer Wooldridge’s sentence to be suspended.

In March, Rocky and Jennifer Wooldridge were arrested following an investigation concerning a child in their care. Investigators say the youth had not been allowed to leave the house for months, had received multiple injuries, and was staying in a room covered in plastic sheeting with Pull-Ups and wet underwear present. According to court documents filed this past August, a social worker visited the Wooldridges’ home and found a motion detector system that sounded an alarm and flashed lights whenever the child got out of bed. A baby gate was also installed on the child’s door and it is alleged that Jennifer Wooldridge, would tie the gate shut.

The case was prosecuted by the State and not the Marion County Attorney’s Office.
