Residents in Pleasantville and the surrounding area will have the opportunity over the next two weekends to enjoy light displays and holiday decorations at Cora Shadle Memorial Park as Pleasantville will present their annual Christmas in the Park event. From 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. today and tomorrow and again on Friday, December 13th and Saturday, December 14th, guests can drive through the park and see the lighted Christmas decorations. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at the shelter house from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th. Everyone is invited to stop by to get a picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and to decorate a cookie to take home. Visitors will be able to warm up with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee, and listen to carolers from local churches sing holiday favorites.
