The Indianola School Board meets in special work session Monday. The board will continue their discussions on adding several committees to the board work schedule, that includes a School Safety Committee, which will include not only board members and school administrators, but experts in the community to weigh in on school safety issues. The board will also consider a School Engagement Committee, where board members would work to be more visible in schools and engage with teachers and students on a regular basis. The board will also work on strategic planning and regional training. The meeting begins at 6pm in the School Administration Building.
