Vermont Senator and Democratic Party Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders held a campaign town hall at Simpson College Sunday afternoon, speaking a full room of supporters. Sanders targeted his healthcare plan, which would provide Medicare for all residents of the United States.

“What that program means, is there are no more premiums. No more copayments. No more deductibles. You know what a deductible is? One of the craziest things I have ever heard of in my life. It says oh you have insurance, but by the way you have to spend the first 5-10 thousand dollars out of your own pocket. If you don’t have 5-10 thousand dollars, sorry you don’t get to go see the doctor. It’s a totally absurd proposition.”

Over 350 people attended the event.
