With the holiday season in full swing KNIA/KRLS is wanting to do their part to help families in need. Tomorrow afternoon the staff at KNIA/KRLS will be teaming up with the Knoxville Hy-Vee to bag groceries as well as to accept food and cash donations for the 18th annual KNIA/KRLS Radio Food Drive. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. residents can see their favorite KNIA/KRLS personalities being put to work as they bag groceries for a good cause. Donation boxes will be available for anyone who wishes to make a cash donation and bags of groceries will be available for purchase to donate to the food drive as well. All the food and cash that is donated will go towards local food shelves to help give families the opportunity to have a holiday meal. KNIA/KRLS General Manager Jim Butler says KNIA/KRLS feels it is important to donate all year round. He says he has seen how donations impact the community and that is why KNIA/KRLS wanted to team up with Hy-Vee to help raise even more money for the food drive. Butler encourages everyone to get out and give back, especially during this time of year. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio will be on location broadcasting live and playing holiday music. The Indianola Hy-Vee is also collecting food and accepting donations over the next several weeks for the KNIA/KRLS annual food drive as well
