The staff at KNIA/KRLS was put to work Thursday afternoon by the Knoxville Hy-Vee as Marion County’s favorite on-air personalities and staff bagged groceries for a good cause. From 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Knoxville shoppers had the opportunity to have their groceries bagged while KNIA/KRLS worked to raise money and receive donations for the 18th annual KNIA/KRLS Radio Food Drive. Knoxville Hy-Vee Store Director Kelly Kayser tells KNIA/KRLS News the staff at KNIA/KRLS did with good bagging groceries for a good cause. Kayser said the staff did a lot of work and had a lot of laughs at that what it is all about. She says he was happy to see so much money and food donated to the food drive as well. All the food and cash that was donated will go towards local food shelves to help give families the opportunity to have a holiday meal. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’ Big Red Radio was also at Hy-Vee broadcasting live and playing holiday music. Shoppers in Pella will have the opportunity to have their groceries bagged by KNIA/KRLS staff as well next Thursday, December 19th from 3-6pm at the Pella HyVee. The Indianola Hy-Vee is also collecting food and accepting donations over the next several weeks for the KNIA/KRLS annual food drive as well.
