The Warren County Board of Supervisors met in special session Thursday morning. The board held several public hearings on the rezoning of land from agricultural to commercial/industrial. The first rezoning request was to change the classification of the Webb RV Park near Hartford from agricultural to commercial. The lot has expanded from 30 lots to over 100 lots since a special use permit was granted in the 1980’s for 30 lots. The recommendation from the County Zoning Board was to approve the rezoning, but to limit the amount of growth of the RV park to its current form. The board tabled the item to get more information, and will revisit the issue in January.
The second rezoning request was from Dollar General to build a store on the western border of Warren County, west of I-35 on Highway G50. The board approved a rezoning request from agricultural to commercial.
The board also approved several procedural resolutions for over $9 million of General Obligation Capital Loan Notes for the Warren County 911 Communications Project, and a third rezoning request from agricultural to industrial, before going into closed session to perform employee reviews.
