It’s a Saturday of hoops for the Saints today as the boys and girls will both travel to Cardinal High School.

The Saints boys team is feeling good, coming off their first win of the season Thursday, when they took down the Southeast Warren Warhawks, 73-59. The boys currently sit at 1-3.

The girls will look to bounce back after losing two in a row to Lamoni and Southeast Warren, despite a break out performance from Freshman Destinie Swanks, who was all over the court, getting rebounds, assists, and leading the team with 19 points.

Head Coach Kelsey Goff says the freshman is a valuable member of their team

“With her athleticism, she’s just all over you, she can dribble, she can get in there and get the rebound, she can handle the ball, so she is a great asset to the team this year”

Tip-off for the girls game today, will be at 3pm, at Cardinal High School, followed by the boys.
