The Indianola Tour of Homes, Taste of Warren County, and Winter Holiday Market took place Friday and Saturday in Indianola, allowing local residents to visit local homes and businesses and view items from local vendors. The Des Moines Metro Opera was a location on the Tour of Homes, and Director Michael Egel tells KNIA News one of the goals of the recent renovation of the Carnegie Library building was to be able to show it off for events like these.

“It’s a big event for Indianola, its a couple of days where people get out and check out what’s happening in the community. Certainly there are a lot of people interested in Indianola, and not just Indianola but all of Warren County and participate in this every year. We knew this would be one spot in the year where we could really work into an existing program to welcome a large number of people into this space, and that’s been our goal all along is to activate our space into the community.”
