The holiday season is generally looked at as the happiest time of year, but for some, Christmas and the holidays can be reminders of grief, loss and hard times. For the people dealing the holiday blues Celebrate Church in Knoxville is offering the opportunity for residents to lament, pray, grieve, be quiet, slow down, seek counsel or prayer, and even to pour out their hearts. The church, located at 1005 N. Lincoln Street, will hold a special Blue Christmas event tomorrow beginning at 7 p.m. Residents can come to the church and stay as long as needed to receive the help they are looking for. For those seeking spiritual guidance, prayer teams will be on hand to pray with anyone asking them to do so, and to listen to their troubles. And for those in need of more intensive assistance, professional counselors will be located in several rooms throughout the building ready to meet in private with any attendees in need of their help.
