As Habitat for Humanity of Marion County continues its work of providing quality homes for people in need, they do so with help from community members and local businesses who give their time volunteering. Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity of Marion County, Robin Pfalzgraf tells KNIA/KRLS News there’s always a need for volunteers and people would be surprised on the different ways they can help. She says if people are not experienced with construction work they can always plan meals or prepare lunch for the workers. She says there is always something somebody can do to help out. Currently, construction is continuing in Pleasantville for the most recent Habitat for Humanity build project but Pfalzgraf says there are other projects people can help out with as well. She says they have recently been doing critical home repairs to help add life to people’s homes which include new roofs, windows and other necessary repair work. Pfalzgraf says volunteering is as simple as picking up the phone and giving Habitat for Humanity of Marion County a call.
