As the Indianola Library looks back on the year of 2019, one event stands out among the rest: the once-in-a-decade RAGBRAI overnight stop. Library Director Michele Patrick tells KNIA News the number of visitors who took advantage of library services was outstanding.
“We had a great turnout for RAGBRAI in August, more than 1,000 people came to the library to cool down, use the wi-fi and play bingo. It was more people than we could have ever expected and we all had a great time.”
Patrick also mentioned other notable events this year for the library included the second annual Trunk or Treat event, Harry Potter weekend, and the Summer Reading Program Kickoff Party.
