Despite being only a freshman, Destinie Swanks has really made her mark on this season for the Melcher-Dallas girls’ basketball team. She is 3rd on the team in scoring, averaging 6.8 points per game and has the highest 3 point percentage of anyone on the team at 37%. She has 22 rebounds, 5 assists, 5 steals, and 3 blocks. 

Head Coach Kelsey Goff says the freshman has performed well early in her high school career.

“She’s athletic, and so when you’re athletic, you can go in there get rebounds, you can go out to the three point line, and knock down some threes, because she’s a phenomenal shooter, so it’s just building her confidence.” 

The Saints will be back on the court Monday, January 6th at home against Murray, with tip off at 6pm.
