The Indianola Public Library is currently in the process of the Friends of the Indianola Library Membership Drive, recruiting new volunteers to the organization. Director of the Indianola Public Library Michele Patrick tells KNIA News the Friends of the Indianola Library do a lot of work behind the scenes, and no contribution is too small to help.

“Just about 94% of the Friends of the Library are people who give monetary donations of $100 or less, so it’s a very much a broad range of support. They not only give money but volunteer hours to help out, and what they give ends up funding the extra things such as the Harry Potter weekend, stuff that doesn’t fall into the budget.”
