The Melcher-Dallas girls basketball team is halfway through their season and seem to be hitting their stride. The team started off slow, but went on to win 3 of their last 4 heading into break. Despite the group being so spread out age wise, Head Coach Kelsey Goff says the team has stayed close.
“I think it definitely it helps that this is a small school, a lot of them have grown up here, have gone to school together here at Melcher, they come to the high school in 7th grade, so since 7th grade they’ve all seen each other and as they move up as they come up they see the younger kids come in, so they are in school together, a lot of them play the same sports so I think that definitely helps having that chemistry.”
Melcher-Dallas will be back on the curt on Monday, January 6th, as they host Murray High School, tip off will be at 6pm.
