The PCM boys basketball team had a respectable start to the season. The 4-3 Mustangs will bring a 4-3 record into 2020, with some improvements to be made after squandering a fourth quarter lead at Nevada to close 2019.
Derek Brown has performed well in his senior season with 15.1 points per game. Durant Van Dyke and Jason Stafford also average in double figures, with 11.9 and 11.0, respectively. Two areas of improvement would be free throw shooting and turnover. The Mustangs only shoot 66 percent from the charity stripe as a team this season, and they’ve turned it over 15 times per game.
The Mustangs have one more week of break, and will return to action this Friday at Roland-Story.
