As the holiday season comes to an end, the Knoxville Public Library would like to remind residents about their upcoming January programs. On Tuesday, January 14th from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. the library will hold their next DIY for Adults with the project being aromatherapy stress balls. Then on Wednesday, January 22nd the library will host their regular Chess Club events which takes place on Wednesday’s throughout the year according to Knoxville Library Director Roslin Thompson. Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS News the Chess Club events are very popular amongst teens. She says the club meets on Wednesdays after school for six to eight weeks and is for grades third through eighth. Also the week of January 22nd the library is offering residents a chance to add their input for the next Library Mural. The mural will be painted by Kim DeSocio who painted the original murla in 2006. Ms. DeSocio will be at the library on January 20th, 21st, and 22nd to visit with the public and get input on design ideas.
