indianola-3

After facing two of their tougher Little Hawkeye Conference opponents in Pella and Pella Christian on their home court early in the season, the Indianola boys basketball team will bring their four game winning streak on the road to start the second half of their schedule starting this week. The Indians will travel out of conference to play at Lewis Central, then on the road at rival Dallas Center-Grimes, host Grinnell, then travel again to contender Oskaloosa. Head coach Brett Watson tells KNIA Sports one of the strengths for this years team is one that travels well.

“The one thing that has to stay with you on the road is your defense, and we have to prove that with along with our rebounding. Offensively you are probably going to shoot better at home because you are used to the rims and stuff, but defense and rebounding is something that you have to put in your hat and bring that each and every night.”

The Indians play Lewis Central this Saturday at Iowa Western Community College.
