A 5-1 start has the Knoxville Boys Basketball Squad thinking good things when the season resumes on Friday night against Bondurant-Farrar. The Panthers opened with a frustrating loss to PCM but, the Panthers have reeled off five straight wins going into the next portion of the season. Coach Jeff Larson tells KRLS Sports in that first game, PCM took advantage of Knoxville’s inexperience, but he feels better about things right now.

Larson:
“I think we’re a better team than what we played in the first game, we had three guys who had never played varsity basketball. That’s a good start for us, Fred is a great coach and he took advantage of us, we’re OK right now we just have to keep it rolling.”

The Panthers take on Bondurant-Farrar Friday and Newton in Des Moines on Saturday. Both games can he heard live on 95.3 KNIA.
