There are now four new faces representing the Tulip City. New mayor Don DeWaard, at-large councilmember Liz Sporrer, ward two representative Calvin Bandstra, and ward four councilmember Dave Hopkins started their terms January 1st. DeWaard says the new council will have to get off the ground running, with several large projects under consideration early in the new year, as well as the upcoming annual budget workshops. Agendas in January and February will include items related to the proposed new telecommunications utility. The four new faces join ward one representative Lynn Branderhorst, ward three councilmember Bruce Schiebout, and at-large member Mark DeJong. Hear more from the new mayor on today’s Let’s Talk Pella.
