After nearly two weeks off, the class 4A #14 Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad will get back on the court for a game, and the Panthers dive into the deep part of the pool, playing Bondurant-Farrar. The Bluejays come in at 4-2 on the season, and fell out of the top 15 rankings just before the break with two straight loses to Carroll and Ballard. The Bluejays beat Knoxville last season and Coach Jim Uitermarkt hopes his girls remember what happened last year.
Uitermarkt:
“They’ve probably been tested more than we have schedule-wise. We know they’re very good and we know what happened last year and they got their best player coming back and she’s going to be a lot to handle, but that’s going to be very good for us.”
That Bondurant-Farrar player is Avery Fried, who racked up 28 points in last season’s game. Knoxville will look to limit her tonight. You can hear the action on 95.3 KNIA with the pregame starting at 6:15.
