Starting the 2020 portion of their schedule, the Indianola girls and boys basketball squads travel to Council Bluffs to take on Lewis Central today. Both Indians squads head into the second half of their season with high expectations, but will have their hands full against Lewis Central as neither team has many losses on their resume. The Titans boys are 4-1 and have a significant height advantage over the Indians, while the Titans girls have a 4-2 record and take advantage of volume shooting from outside as they average over 20 three-point shots attempted per game. Action starts today at 5:30pm
The Indianola wrestling team also hosts a tournament at the Blake Fieldhouse today, hosting all the Warren County wrestling squads as well as I-35 for a meet. The Indians welcome Carlisle, Norwalk, Southeast Warren and Martensdale-St. Mary’s for the tournament, which gets started today at 10am.
