The City of Indianola is holding a meeting with local contractors and developers to discuss the current and potential updates on city codes. Community and Economic Development Director Charlie Dissell tells KNIA News one of the goals of updating the city codes is to have similar codes to the rest of the area, so builders don’t have to worry about crossing city or county lines when working on different projects. Dissell also said the meeting is to hear from those on the front lines what the city can do better.

“We’ll provide breakfast for everybody who attends, and just gives us an opportunity to receive feedback from anybody who wants to attend, and it is just another part of what we want to be as the City of Indianola which is be as transparent as possible with our processes.”

The meeting will take place on January 16th at the Indianola Activity Center from 7-8am. The city asks that those who plan on attending to RSVP, find more information about how to attend below.
