Tickets are on sale now for the 2020 National Balloon Classic Winter Gala, serving as one of the major fundraisers for the summer festival. Executive Director of the National Balloon Classic Staci Scheurenbrand tells KNIA News the National Balloon Classic is a big part of the branding of Indianola, and being a part of it is still fun to do even for the locals who may not know how much things have changed. The gala, themed as Winterglow on the River, runs from 5:30 until midnight at the Hilton Des Moines Downtown Hotel. The 2019 National Balloon Classic takes place July 24th through August 1st.
