The Knoxville Coaches vs Cancer event is just a few weeks away as this year’s event is scheduled for Saturday, January 25th. Each year the best in the nation Coaches vs Cancer event is held at the Knoxville High School and features a special  ceremony held between games to celebrate the donations raised throughout the year. Knoxville Girls Head Basketball Coach and Organizer of the event, Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS News the ceremony will feature the major donations received for the event as well as celebrate the survivors and honor those lost to cancer. During the ceremony and throughout the day supporters of the event are dressed in special pink Coaches vs Cancer shirts. Shirts are currently available but anyone interested in purchasing a shirt has only until tomorrow to do so.
