The Melcher-Dallas Saints will host a double header of hoops tonight when they take on Orient-Macksburg. The Saints girls’ team is looking to avoid a losing streak after losing the last two to Seymour and Murray. The saints are 5-7 for the year and tied for 5th place in the Conference.
The Orient-Macksburg girls are at an even 5-5 and in the 4th seed of the Bluegrass Conference.
The Saints boys’ team is trying to avoid a four game slide as they have lost three in a row since coming back from break. Head Coach Jim Wells says there’s if the team is going to make a playoff run they have to play their best game every night.
“We have to come and play our A game, we have to come and play our best game that we’re capable of playing, but like I said you gotta take one game at a time, and one thing I tell them is there isn’t nobody left out there in the Conference that we can’t beat, but we gotta come ready to play.”
They are 4-7 and in 7th place of the conference.
The Orient-Macksburg boys team is 1-8 and sitting at the bottom of the conference.
You Can catch the action at Melcher-Dallas High School Gymnasium with the girls game tipping off at 6pm, and the boys following.
