Today, the fans of Pella Christian Basketball celebrate history.

While on the court, the 2020 Eagles will have to take on Oskaloosa in a girls-boys doubleheader, the rest of the night remains part reunion, part celebration.

The 1990 Pella Christian boys basketball team will be recognized as part of festivities on the 30th anniversary of their undefeated championship season. The evening will start with an approximately hour-long documentary at 5:30 p.m., and then follow up with girls and boys basketball action. All players, managers, and coaches from the ‘90 Eagles are expected to be in attendance.

Tonight’s matchup on the court features a chance for the Eagles girls to find their first win of the season as Oskaloosa’s girls sit at 1-10 overall, having lost ten in a row since their opener.

Pella Christian’s boys, who have been hit with a midseason injury bug, will look to a roller-coaster of an Indians boys team, who missed their big man Xavier Foster Tuesday night with an injury.

Coverage from Eagle Lane begins at 6 p.m. on 92.1 KRLS, with opening tip at 6:15 p.m. and some of the ceremonies for the 30th anniversary team airing during the broadcast.
