Just after 11:30 a.m. Friday a residential structure fire was reported in the 900 block of 128th avenue north of Knoxville. Emergency crews responding reported flames showing on every side of the one story home with all occupants out of the residence. Crews fought the fire in white-out conditions, in 21 degree weather with a wind chill of nine degrees. The Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Monroe Fire Department, Pella Fire Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office all responded to the scene. The home is a total loss.
