Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has chosen local representatives to serve on state boards and commissions. Governor Reynolds has chosen Kacia Cain of Indianola, a biotechnology teacher at Des Moines Central Campus, as well as Central College President Mark Putnam, to serve on the STEM Advisory Council. Other local residents serving on boards were appointed in July of 2019 included Marion County Sheriff Jason Sandholdt, appointed to the Iowa’s Children’s Behavioral Health System Board. Warren County Supervisor Doug Shull and Putnam were appointed to the College Student Aid Commission, and Lieutenant Aaron Fuller with the Knoxville Police Department was appointed to the Dependent Adult Protective Advisory Council.
