Just under five inches of snow fell in Indianola over the past weekend in the latest winter weather event to strike south central Iowa, with a snow ordinance in effect from Friday until Sunday. The Indianola Police Department issued 19 parking tickets, impounded 4 cars, and responded to 2 reportable accidents. The department issued 56 tickets during the first snow ordinance event several weeks ago. The area will face another possible storm and snow ordinance later this week, with another possible event beginning later this week.
