The Warren County Philanthropic Partnership is increasing the amount of their High-Impact Grant for the 2020 grant cycle, from $10,000 to $25,000. Emily Roush-Bobolz with WCPP tells KNIA News many of the organizations applying for the High-Impact Grant had projects that were worthy of the funds, but the purpose of the grant was for something a little more far-reaching.
“Some of the applications for the $10,000 grant were, it was very obvious they needed the money, but it was a smaller impact in our mind, meaning that it only helped a small percentage of the population or even just one town. We are looking for something that has an impact on the entire community, whether it is tourism or economic development, something that can help with the marketability of our community, and help the cities and communities in the county. Perhaps something to draw more attention to Warren County.”
The application process for the High-Impact grant opens on January 31st, and an Intent to Apply form is due by February 7th. For more information on the grant cycle, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.
