Another round of wet snow fell overnight, which will make this morning’s commute difficult for many. A Winter Weather Advisory continues until noon for Marion and Warren Counties. An additional 1-2 inches of snow is possible throughout the region. Most roads in south central Iowa have snow on them, as travel will likely remain difficult until temperatures warm back up above freezing and state and county plows can clear the highways. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest winter weather information.

As of 5 a.m., most area highways were covered with snow, according to the Iowa DOT. As of that time, approximately 2 inches of snow had fallen in both Pella and Knoxville overnight.
