The Historic Pella Trust received a Rolscreen Foundation Grant of $15,000 provided through the generosity of Pella Corporation. This award will help fund the Tuttle Learning Walk, a joint project between the Historic Pella Trust and the City of Pella. Executive Director of Historic Pella Trust Jennifer Van Kooten says the walkway will connect north Pella’s historic Tuttle Cabin, located at 608 Lincoln Street, with Sunken Garden Park. This learning walk will feature both native plantings and signage detailing the history of early Pella, its founders and predecessors.

The Historic Pella Trust has committed to funding the entire cost of the walkway, estimated to be $195,000. After completion, the City of Pella will assume maintenance and care of the attraction. To date, 70% of the funding has been secured. Construction is scheduled to begin this spring.
