Gardeners preparing for spring will have an opportunity to attend the Think Spring Garden Seminar hosted by Indianola Parks and Rec in one month, on February 29th at Simpson College. Kathy Kester with Indianola Parks and Rec tells KNIA News the seminar is always very popular, and the classes provide information on gardening with plants native to Iowa, gardening with conifers, learning about insect pests, and gardening home projects. Speakers, door prizes, and a lunch will be provided at the seminar throughout the day. By attending, Master Gardeners will earn 4 continuing education credits. Tickets for the event cost $45 and can be bought at the door, and runs from 8:30am until 3pm at the Kent Campus Center at Simpson College. Kester also said tickets are available at Indianola Parks and Rec. Find information on tickets to the event below.
