After an exciting pair of non-conference games Thursday evening, the PCM basketball teams returned to Heart of Iowa action Friday evening, hosting Nevada. The Mustang girls used a strong first half to help hold off a second half rally by the Cubs, winning 46-41. Nevada was able to cut into a seven-point halftime deficit in the third quarter, but PCM closed things out in the fourth. Regan Freland scored 21 points to lead the way, while Lilli Baird added 10. PCM improves to 8-9 overall and 6-5 in the conference.

The Mustang boys could not avenge a frustrating loss from earlier in the season, falling 58-39. Nevada was able to build a 19-8 lead after the first quarter, and PCM could not mount much of a comeback effort.

The PCM girls will be back in action Monday at Carlisle, and both teams will be in action Tuesday, hosting Roland-Story.
