The Indianola City Council meets in regular session tonight, delayed a day due to the Iowa Caucuses. The council will consider approval of several items on the Indianola Water Resource Recovery Facility Project, including construction and payment. The council will consider nominations to the Parks and Recreation Commission and Indianola Municipal Utilities Board of Trustees, discuss a sign-exemption request from Wal-Mart, and consider awarding a contract for the construction of the Quail Meadows Lift Station project. The council will also consider acceptance of the US Department of Commerce’s grant for the extension of Iowa Ave for over $627,000, and discuss a special assessment of the project. The meeting begins at 6pm in the city council chambers at Indianola City Hall.
