The Indianola City Council approved the plans and financing for the Indianola Water Resource Recovery Facility Project at their most recent meeting Tuesday. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the facility is exactly what the city needs, and meets the new standards put forth by the Iowa DNR.

“It’s a state of the art facility. It’s an innovative design that reduces our cost over a traditional facility by $12 million. There is nothing glamorous here, it is pipes and pumps. And is meant to transport sewage.”

Waller also said the city is projecting the project to be complete by 2022. For more information on the project, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola, and view a fact sheet below.
