The Central wrestling team made the trip to Decorah Thursday evening for an American Rivers Conference dual of ranked teams. Despite holding leads at different points throughout the night, the 25th-ranked Dutch fell to the 19th-ranked Norse by a final count of 21-16.
The Dutch got wins on the night from Daniel Radcliffe at 141, Rob Areyano at 149, 174-pounder Griffin McBride and Nathan Fritz at 184. Central held a 16-12 lead after Fritz’s victory, but Luther won the final two bouts to secure the win.
Central falls to 11-6 overall and 2-5 in the American Rivers Conference, with the final regular season dual coming up next Thursday at home versus Simpson.
